Bring the magic of the Star Wars galaxy into your home with the Segatoys HomeStar R2-D2 home planetarium. Designed in the shape of the iconic R2-D2 astromech droid, this compact optical projector creates an immersive starry-sky experience on your ceiling or wall. It is an ideal collectible, bedroom accessory, relaxation light, and gift for Star Wars fans aged 15 and over.
Using optical projection technology, the HomeStar R2-D2 displays approximately 10,000 stars across a circular area of around 1.4 meters when positioned approximately 2 meters from the ceiling. The projector’s recommended projection distance is 2 meters, making it suitable for bedrooms, living rooms, home theaters, and personal relaxation spaces.
A built-in 15-minute timer automatically switches the planetarium off, making it convenient to use before sleep or during quiet evening relaxation. Powered by three AAA alkaline batteries, it can operate continuously for approximately four hours, allowing flexible placement without requiring a nearby power outlet.
The R2-D2 design makes this more than a conventional star projector. It functions as a distinctive Star Wars display piece when not in use and adds character to desks, shelves, nightstands, and entertainment rooms. The product was released by Sega Toys in collaboration with the Star Wars brand and is officially licensed by Lucasfilm.
